Tahrah was born out of a need to express something that could not have been expressed any other way. The music, the instruments and voice form the “being” that is Tahrah. So, who is Tahrah? As a band-name it sounded more fitting than Gordon, Medusa or Melissa. Coming up with a new name for a band, a group, a project these days is tough. I was trying some variations of the spelling for Tahrah. Suddenly it all just fit. There it was: The name, the logo the artwork. I am really pleased with the whole package. So this somewhat exotic and mysterious name, what does it hide? It hides music of an adventureous sort and it contains the vision of mine. Oh, it did also spring a mythological tale where the name fit in.
